  2.  Spruing: The wax model is attached to a wax sprue, which serves as a channel for molten metal to flow into the mold. Multiple wax models can be attached to a central sprue to form a "tree."
  3. Investing: The wax model and sprue assembly is placed in a metal flask. A liquid plaster-like material called investment is poured into the flask, covering the wax model. The investment hardens, creating a negative mold around the wax model.
  4. Burnout: The flask is heated in a kiln to melt and burn out the wax, leaving a hollow cavity in the shape of the jewelry piece. This step also removes any residual wax and strengthens the investment mold.
  5. Casting: The flask is placed in a centrifugal casting machine. Molten metal (such as gold, silver, or platinum) is poured into the central sprue opening. The centrifugal force generated by the spinning machine forces the molten metal into the detailed cavities of the mold.
  6. Cooling and Removal: After the metal has solidified and cooled, the investment mold is broken away to reveal the metal casting. The individual jewelry pieces are cut off from the sprue tree.
  7.  Finishing: The cast pieces undergo various finishing processes such as trimming, polishing, and setting of gemstones to achieve the final desired appearance.
