Vacuum Pump Maintenance Tips...

Proper maintenance is essential to ensure the best performance and longest service life from your vacuum pump. Each morning, check the sight gauge of your vacuum pump. If you see separated oil and water in the sight glass, open the drain and let the water flow out. Leave the valve open until the fluid that comes out is all oil, with no water bubbles in it. Close the valve and refill the oil reservoir to the proper level. Follow your machine’s operating guide for periodic maintenance guidelines.

Bell Jar Safety Tips...

• For an optimum seal, keep your bell jar rim and vacuum table clean of investment debris; never use a chipped or damaged bell jar.
• Never press or hit the bell jar during vacuum. It’s under tremendous pressure and can implode. This could result in dangerous flying debris.
• To keep the pad flat on the investing table, cut a 1" (25mm), X-shaped slit through the center of the vacuum pad to prevent any air pressure build-up under the pad during vacuuming.
