The right machine for every application

Our range of Indutherm Semi-Automatic Vacuum Casting Machines - VC 400, caters to a wide variety of capacities, from small to very large, and includes both semi-automatic and fully automatic systems. These machines feature sophisticated functional details designed to optimize each casting for its specific properties.

Separate locking systems for “overlapping” casting

All Indutherm VC 400 systems come with separate locking mechanisms for the melting and cuvette chambers, enabling significant time savings through "overlapping" pouring. While the cuvette remains in the vacuum chamber for a few minutes after pouring, the next batch can be filled and heated up simultaneously.

Pneumatic bell lock and automatic locking system

The melting chambers of all Indutherm VC 400 machines are sealed with a pneumatic system. Models VC 650 V and VC 680 V are additionally equipped with an automatic locking system.

Automatic cuvette and chamber lift

The cuvette is automatically lowered and docked into the vacuum chamber. When the chamber is opened, the cuvette is raised for easy removal. This design allows for the use of economical cuvettes without a flange.

Automatic Vacuum Casting Machine Program control for fast and certified productions

Featuring a control panel with a full-text LCD display, all programs and parameters can be set easily and practically. The semi-automatic systems include temperature programs, while the fully automatic systems offer a comprehensive program control system that includes all parameters. With up to 100 casting programs, the machines ensure quick operation and uniform casting results. Parameters are pre-programmed for key alloys, such as AGS, Alpha Plus, Heraeus, Legor, and Pandor alloys, ensuring good casting results from the first cuvette without the need for expensive preliminary tests. The program control and built-in data printer provide high security and precise process logging.

Ready for future standards

Like all our systems, the Indutherm Semi-Automatic Vacuum Casting Machine - VC 400 series is equipped with software and interface management that allows for remote maintenance and service. This feature forms the basis for future networking with other systems.

Controlling the pressure conditions – important for the perfect casting result

Automatic vacuum and overpressure in the melting and cuvette chambers

The vacuum in the melting chamber plays a critical role in degassing the metal and preventing unwanted oxidation during the melting process, especially important for copper-containing alloys. In the cuvette chamber, the vacuum enhances mold filling, particularly for delicate parts, and eliminates troublesome air pockets. Additionally, the system can switch to overpressure in the melting chamber to increase the pressure difference, further optimizing the casting process.

Oxidation reduction after casting

This specialized system minimizes the risk of oxidation as the cuvette cools, ensuring a higher quality casting result.

Turbulence reduction software

The Turbulence Reduction Software (TRS) ensures a faster and more consistent metal flow, enhancing mold filling and preventing the plaster mold from breaking at critical points and causing defects in the casting.

The Turbo Pressure function is designed to optimize the casting of very small and delicate objects, ensuring perfect results, especially for jewelry with embedded stones. This function achieves a precisely defined and extremely rapid pressure build-up during pouring. In all program-controlled VC models, Turbo Pressure is activated automatically with perfect timing according to the specific program. The Turbo Pressure PLUS system enhances this capability, allowing for even higher and faster pressure build-up, further improving casting quality.

HSC – High Speed Casting

The High-Speed Casting (HSC) system improves mold filling and surface quality, especially for small parts and those with large, smooth surfaces. HSC also enables the casting of processed colored stones at lower temperatures, ensuring optimal results and preserving the quality of delicate materials..

Precise temperature control

Dual temperature control

Temperature measurement in both the crucible wall and the crucible center (integrated into the closure rod) ensures strict adherence to the preselected temperature range. This dual measurement system guarantees precise temperature control for optimal casting results.

Cuvette temperature measurement

Previously, cuvettes with incorrect or varying temperatures posed a safety risk, especially when casting very small or delicate parts where the correct cuvette temperature is crucial. Now, with the capability to measure the cuvette temperature (standard in VC 650 V and VC 680 V models), safety is significantly enhanced. This system allows for checking the cuvette temperature with an accuracy of one degree, ensuring optimal conditions for precision casting.
