A specialized industrial separation system designed to classify metal powders by grain size using controlled airflow. This unit is essential for additive manufacturing (3D printing) and metal refining workflows where precise powder consistency is required.

AC Series Air Classifiers: Precision Metal Powder Separation

The AC Series Air Classifiers are engineered for the high-precision separation of metal powders into fine and coarse fractions. These systems excel in the sub-25 µm range—a critical threshold where conventional sieving operations typically fail. Designed with an "Easy-to-Clean" concept, these units are ideal for R&D and production environments requiring frequent alloy or particle size changes.

System Versatility & Models

From research and development to large-scale production with throughputs up to 200 kg/h, the AC series provides a scalable solution for specialty and precious metals.

  • AC 1000: The standard cost-effective solution for small powder batches under 200 µm.
  • AC 1000 G: Includes an integrated Oxidation Protection System. This version processes powder under an inert gas atmosphere to prevent the uptake of oxygen and moisture.
  • AC 1000 GS: The specialized Explosion Protection model, specifically designed for handling reactive and explosive powders such as Aluminum, Magnesium, Zirconium, and Titanium.

Advanced Atmosphere Control: G-series models feature an oxygen measuring system that controls the process according to your programmed set values. Define your target O2 value for the process start to ensure total metal purity and safety.

Key Features

  • High Process Stability: Delivers consistent particle size distributions even with complex gas-atomized alloys.
  • Minimal Metal Loss: The "Easy-to-Clean" design ensures reduced cross-contamination and maximum recovery of expensive specialty metals.
  • Touchscreen Control: User-friendly interface allows for precise adjustments of classification parameters.
  • Throughput: Capable of processing up to 25 kg/h (based on Bronze).
