Romanoff White LMR - Liquid Mold Jewelry Rubber 50 lb Kit

A versatile polyurethane rubber designed for mold making, reproduction, casting, special effects, and other production applications. Its low viscosity allows the material to flow easily around fine details, intricate features, and undercuts, helping create accurate molds while minimizing trapped air.

This material is well suited for reproducing sculptures for lost-wax casting, creating molds for fiberglass parts and panels, architectural restoration, construction molds, and special effects applications. Its formulation can also be adjusted for different molding techniques. An optional thickening agent can be used to create a paste-like consistency for brush-on applications and vertical surfaces, while an optional softening agent can increase flexibility when a softer rubber is desired.

The material mixes at a 10:100 ratio by weight and provides approximately 20 minutes of working time. At room temperature, the rubber cures in approximately 16 hours to a durable Shore A 40 rubber with more than 700% elongation at break. Low shrinkage helps maintain the dimensions and fine details of the original model.

When properly used and maintained, finished molds can withstand hundreds of castings depending on the casting material and application. Proper model preparation, sealing of porous surfaces, and use of an appropriate mold release are recommended for consistent results.
